Touareg Halogen No-Lens-Opening Retrofit FAQ
Does no-lens-opening mean no housing cutting?
No. The front lens remains sealed, but the pictured installation cuts an access area in the rear housing. The removed rear cover must be welded or securely restored after installation.
Which Touareg headlamp is covered?
The supplied reference identifies the pictured 2011–2015 low-spec halogen headlamp. Confirm the lamp face, rear housing and internal reflector layout before ordering.
Why must the clips be installed in a specific direction?
The bracket clips and pre-assembled components have defined front/rear orientations. Installing them backwards prevents correct seating and linkage alignment.
What is the correct linkage sequence?
Insert and engage the high-beam-position linkage rod first, then connect the low-beam position. Follow the photographed order before tightening the bracket.
Which projector shroud is recommended?
The reference recommends a Touareg-style projector shroud. If another shroud is used, flatten the upper section as shown and verify clearance.
Is additional driver-side trimming required?
Yes. On the driver side, trim the inner shroud to match the projector horizontal angle shown in the reference before final assembly.
