CC / Arteon Inner-Position Retrofit FAQ
Which headlamp versions are covered?
The reference shows both high-spec and low-spec 2019–2023 CC / Arteon headlamps. On the high-spec lamp the inner position is a low-beam projector; on the low-spec lamp it is the turn-signal position.
Are the two installation paths identical?
No. The high-spec version replaces the inner projector directly, while the low-spec turn-signal version removes the factory ball joint and uses the supplied ball joint before the bracket is installed.
When are the supplied ball joints used?
They are used only when converting the low-spec turn-signal position. They are not required for the pictured high-spec projector replacement path.
What projector body is recommended?
The supplied reference recommends a slim projector because the inner position has limited depth and trim clearance.
Must the trim panel be removed?
Yes. Remove the appropriate trim panel for either version, install the bracket and projector, then restore the panel after checking clearance.
Can the original shroud always be retained?
Not automatically. Select a suitable projector shroud after checking the projector position, front appearance and interference with the restored trim panel.
Technical reference: Based on Royalin-supplied installation photography and article 666 for the pictured 2019–2023 Volkswagen CC / Arteon headlamps. Verify trim level, inner-position function, ball-joint requirement, projector depth and trim clearance before ordering.
