Volkswagen CC Bosch Stepper AFS Installation Sequence
Remove the Trim Panel
Remove the decorative trim panel to expose the factory projector carrier and mounting points.
Fit and Secure the Projector
Loosen the marked screws, complete the required Hella 5 clearance trimming and secure the projector to the replacement bracket.
Transfer the AFS Motors
Remove the four screws, release the locking tab and ball joint, retain the left/right labels and shorten the indicated shutter shaft.
Install the Motor and Linkage
Snap the linkage arm into place first, then reinstall the correct AFS motor with its retaining screws.
Connect the Bi-Xenon Signals
Connect module black to factory brown low-beam negative, low-beam positive as shown, and module yellow to the identified high-beam signal wire.
Install, Align and Test
Secure the complete assembly with the clip screws and ball joint, add the optional shroud if desired, then test AFS movement and both beam functions.

Volkswagen CC Bosch Stepper AFS Retrofit FAQ
Which headlamp configuration is covered?
The supplied reference applies to the pictured 2010–2016 Volkswagen CC high-spec xenon headlamp with Bosch stepper AFS motors. Confirm the lamp face, internal carrier and motor type before ordering.
Are the original AFS motors reused?
Yes. Remove the left and right factory AFS motors, keep their side labels, and transfer them to the corresponding replacement bracket assemblies.
Why is ball-joint orientation important?
The CC-specific ball joint and its mounting direction control linkage geometry. Install it exactly as pictured before attaching the motor linkage arm.
Does a Hella 5 projector require trimming?
Yes. The source notes that Hella 5 fitment requires substantial trimming at the marked projector area. Check body and shroud clearance before cutting.
What wiring signals are used by the bi-xenon module?
The source identifies factory white as low-beam positive, factory brown as low-beam negative, and the specified connector wire as the high-beam signal for the module yellow lead.
Is an additional projector shroud required?
A small black Hella-style shroud is optional for a cleaner appearance. Confirm it does not interfere with the trim panel or projector movement.
Technical reference: Based on Royalin-supplied installation photography and article 72 for the pictured 2010–2016 Volkswagen CC high-spec Bosch stepper AFS headlamp. Verify the motor type, left/right labels, ball-joint direction, projector dimensions and circuit signals before ordering.
